Editorial Guidelines

The Gilman News only permits opinion in the form of opinion articles, columns, and editorials. While all unsigned editorials reflect the majority stance of our staff, it's important to note that the views expressed in our publication may not necessarily align with those of the school's administration, faculty, or student body. We reserve the right to publish letters to the editor at our discretion, with the understanding that we may edit them for grammar and layout, and we will not publish any content we deem to be defamatory towards students, faculty, or community members.

Commenting Policy

All comments on The Gilman News must be approved by a moderator before being published. We encourage reader feedback and commentary but reserve the right to withhold any comments that are deemed threatening, defamatory, hateful, or spam. Comment authors are required to use a valid email address and provide proper identification. Comments meeting our standards will be displayed in their original form.

Corrections and Errors

If you notice any errors in The Gilman News, please email us at gilmannews@gilman.edu. Our editorial team will determine the severity of any corrections required and will append a correction statement to the article if deemed necessary. Minor corrections will be made without a formal statement.
